Forum “Culture and Climate. Dialogue on the Future and Quality of Life!”

As the Latvian Cultural Capital, Cēsis will highlight how the city’s cultural values can connect with contemporary global climate and sustainability challenges, providing well-being for its residents, managers, and visitors.
The event will bring together experts and enthusiasts from various fields to share opinions, promoting understanding of the significance of Latvia’s cultural heritage in the global climate context, creating an interdisciplinary dialogue on the impact of climate change on cultural heritage and society’s quality of life.

Cēsis, fulfilling its publicly stated commitment to implement the cultural program prepared for the European Capital of Culture 2027 application, together with the county’s parishes, is realizing an extensive cycle of cultural events, and in 2025 shines as the Latvian Cultural Capital with the slogan “Culture in Heads, Castles, Yards.”
